Product Description:
Cathe Friedrich’s STS Mesocycle #3 & 4 Optional Leg – Squat Rack Routines contain 16 DVDs and is devoted to strength training. It is divided into the following 3 muscle groups with four workouts for each group:
1. Back and Chest
2. Biceps, Shoulders and Triceps
3. Legs
This method requires you to lift weights 80 to 90 percent of your 1RM with approx. 6-8 reps for most exercises during the cycle. All four muscle groups will always have up to 2-3 min rest between exercises, which is the minimum necessary, according to research for high intensity workouts, in order to restore the body’s various energy cycles.
The 1st week will consist of 4 sets of 8 reps per exercise with a rest period of 2-3 min between each set for that particular muscle group. Weeks 2 & 3 will see you increasing your weight resistance by 5 percent for each subsequent workout, but reducing the amount of reps by 1. During the 4th and final week of the mesocycle, you will increase to 8 reps again while maintaining the same weight resistance thereby increasing your strength by 5 percent by the end of the mesocycle.
The PlyoWorkout has been developed for those who do not own a squat rack and focuses on explosive strength development. This system utilizes plyometric movements combined with standard strength training. Having already developed 5 percent more upper body strength using Cathe Friedrich’s STS, and you desire the same results for your legs, then you’ll be happy with the Squat Rack workout option.
